Arzalia Wahida

Policy Advisor

Arzalia Wahida is a policy advisor for the Energy Program at IISD. Her work focuses on energy transition initiatives across Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on electric vehicle deployment and power system readiness to accelerate decarbonization and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the region.

With experience across key government agencies, Arzalia specializes in sustainable infrastructure, energy transition, and public sector transformation. Prior to IISD, she oversaw funding and investment strategies for Indonesia’s new capital at the Nusantara Capital Authority and supported strategic planning for smart public transport at Transjakarta.

She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, with a focus on climate policy and green development.
